We’re kicking off summer in true ABRA fashion this year. On Friday, June 20th, the summer solstice arrives, and with it (along with getting ever closer to Halloween) comes our first big event of the season!
The Summer Solstice Event is On
We’re having a slew of awesome experiences and party favors in store. From our reguarly scheduled June programming of tarot classes, we’ll advance to some creepy ghost story readings (and perhaps even summon a spirit or two). Top the night off with a special horror movie screening and some drinks to go around, and you got yourself a great Friday night at your favorite costume store.
Here’s a breakdown of everything happening on Friday, June 20th:
4:00pm – 6:00pm
🃟 Tarot Workshop Class 🃟
The mystical duo of Sasha Graham and Rhonda Alin returns to kick things off with readings and even some practice sessions for those looking to learn how to work a tarot deck themselves.
6:00pm – 7:30pm
♱ Ghost Stories By the Fire ♱
Sasha and Rhonda will be joined by third expert in all things spooky, Catherine Mary Stewart, to regale the crowd in stories of ghosts, haunts, and supernatural sightings. Be careful not to get too wrapped up in the story, or it just might make you a part of its next chapter!
8:00pm – 9:30pm
✯ Special Horror Movie Screening ✯
Get settled in downstairs for a special screening of a cult classic, brought to you courtesy of the fine folks of Abracadabra.
The Fun Doesn’t Stop There
Throughout the evening, you’re encouraged to wander and explore everything else the store has to offer! Along with our vast selection of costumes, props, makeup applicances, and creepy latex masks, we will also be having a Pop-up Tattoo shop right in store, headed by Miss Vampira. She’ll be offering a slew of tat options from her “Summer Slasher” collection, and walk-ins are welcome time permitting! And to top it all off, we’ll be having Necromantic Brew Company paying us a visit, serving spooky, refreshing beverages all night long.
